Central Denmark Region has a great ambition to be an attractive and sustainable region for its aprox. 1.3 million citizens. To fulfil this, we know the importance of strong partnerships. We work with knowledge institutions, private and public companies as well as organisations both regionally, nationally and internationally, and we are always looking to engage in new partnerships to find solutions to emerging challenges.
Central Denmark works for a coherent regional climate effort, and to find common national and international solutions to climate challenges and the biodiversity crisis.
Climate change can be seen and felt in the Central Jutland region. We get higher amounts of rainfall, more floods, and longer periods of drought. It affects our society, our nature and ourselves, both now and in the future. Therefore, it is not enough to prevent climate change. We must also adapt to the changes that are already happening
Climate change means, among other things, that we have to plan differently. When we build and construct, we have to consider climate change. We must take into account water from the coast and streams as well as rainwater. When we build something new, we must investigate the possibilities of creating recreational areas, promoting biodiversity or anything else that can provide added value.
