PART A - GENERAL NOTES

This data protection declaration explains how personal information is collected, processed and transmitted by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection.

The following explanations, filed under Part A - General Information, apply to all data processing operations of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection. In particular, but not exclusively, this includes the processing operations described separately in section B.

This data protection declaration applies to all persons who contact or are in contact with the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection or who use the services of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, including users of the website and other online services of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection if not all services described herein are available in all countries.

Third parties (such as online platforms such as facebook or YouTube, which are used in connection with our websites) may also collect, use and pass on information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such third parties or their services, and we cannot be responsible for how those third parties may use any information they collect. For information about the privacy practices of third parties, we refer to them directly.

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject takes place in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. This data protection declaration aims to provide transparent information about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data processed by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection. Furthermore, data subjects are informed of the rights to which they are entitled by means of this data protection declaration.

Legal basis of processing

Unless otherwise stated, your data will be processed as part of our public performance of duties (Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter e in conjunction with Art. 6 Para. 3 Sentence 1 General Data Protection Regulation and Art. 4 Para. 1 Bavarian Data Protection Act).

Duration of storage of personal data

After collection by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective storage purpose or as required by statutory provisions.

Data subject rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

• If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Article 15 GDPR).
• If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR).
• If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing and object to the processing (Articles 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).
• If you have consented to the data processing or if there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
• If you make use of your above rights, the public body will check whether the legal requirements for this have been met.
• Irrespective of this, you can contact the supervisory authority, i.e. the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection.
• If you have given your consent to the processing by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection and the processing is based on this consent, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.
